Welcome to St Luke’s Downham: Rev. Nick and the team would love to see you at one of our services. Everyone is welcome at St Luke’s regardless of ages, backgrounds, needs, experiences and faith.

Here at St Luke’s, we try to combine an accessible, informal and friendly church community with some of the more traditional things you might associate with church and the Christian faith – such as robes, liturgy (prayers and responses) and various symbols.

If you want to speak to Rev. Nick to find out more about our services, ask any questions or simply introduce yourself before coming; call 07774516204 or contact Rev Nick (the vicar).

Accessibility/Multi-Sensory Resources:
If adults or children need to use multi-sensory resources to help feel comfortable, stay focused and engaged these are available at the back, including ear defenders, sensory aids, fidget toys, rosary prayer beads and holding crosses. We also have some mindfulness colouring resources and felt pens.

All the words of our service, including songs, are displayed on the screens and Rev. Nick will guide us through the parts to join in – feel free to say these as loud as you wish!

Wedding

Saint Luke’s would be very happy to help you celebrate your marriage. To be married at St Luke’s you need to contact Rev Nick (the vicar). He will meet with you to discuss your wedding.

Baptism

You can be baptised at any age. Whether you are looking for baptism for yourself or your child you are very welcome. Come along on Sunday to see our services at St Luke’s. Rev Nick will be pleased to hear from you and discuss baptism.

Funeral

Saint Luke’s is here for you in your time of loss. Whether you want a church funeral or priest to help you with a crematorium service, we will work with your funeral director to remember your loved one.
